In February, I applied for a 14-week incubator program for creative small businesses. It felt like a shot in the dark, putting myself out there. I spent a week working on my application and I didn't get accepted on the anticipated day. I was disappointed but saw it as a great exercise and all apart of the process. Well the next day, I found out I was accepted and I was thrilled!

I came home from my first class overwhelmed and questioning if I wanted to do this or not. Oh man. I stuck with it, did the work and I have learned so much! I still have so much left to do. It was a really awesome experience. It all wrapped up with a Pitch Party. I presented a 3-minute pitch to a panel. The panel had read all our business plans beforehand and then had a set amount of time to ask questions and give feedback. It was nerve-racking. And I'm so proud of myself! I loved my cohort and I met so many great people.

SO many thank-yous to Terrain for giving me this opportunity.

Greta is saying "goodbye" to elementary school and she's on to middle school! There was a little promotion ceremony and it was really fun to have my mom here for that. Greta won the Spirit of Roosevelt award and I'm so proud of her! She's a great kid! She had an awesome year at school and navigated the girl-drama well. I'm excited to see her shine in middle school!

Maeve is Sonny's favorite. Can you blame him? Her laugh is so infectious! And she's just the right height and she'll lay down and let him love her.

Holly went to her first dance!! She had an awesome time! Her friend, Simone, and her got ready together and although they thought they'd bail after the first hour, the ended up staying for the whole thing. So fun! Conor and I both loved going to dances when we were teenagers and it's just so fun to see our child experience the same milestone.

What a ride! I've dreamt of having a booth at the Manito art fest all this last year and it was quite an accomplishment to see that dream come true! I had a very successful market day and I continue to be so grateful that I get to give this small business a go!
