A fun little evening on the beach and playing in the park. Ira and Enoch did not like the dry sand on their feet. That was way too much for them so there's some grumpy faces in connection to that. Enoch did enjoy walking through the water and Ira is super into boats. The kids had a great time running around and playing hard.

Our trip to Victoria was pretty close to what we thought it would be. Lots of balancing out babies, nap times and big kids. One of our first stops was China Town. Holly was really interested in going and I was there for it. It was very fun to walk through and look at the shops and the buildings. Fan Tan Alley is such a neat little spot. The other night I dreamed that a neighbor (or someone??) stole the Hearts Content sign and I was like, "uh-oh, that's not good." So hopefully it's still there in real life!

After our China Town visit we went to my brother, John's, office and got the tour. Kind of reminded me of visiting my Dad's office, something my kids don't really get to experience because Conor works from home!

Wrapped up our first full day with a pizza party at our Airbnb with cousins!

On July 1, 2022 (exactly 2 years after Enoch first came into our lives), we adopted Enoch. Oh my goodness! What a day! I didn't really have any expectations for the adoption ceremony, but it was everything! I loved being surrounded by friends and family and feeling their love and support. And now Enoch is a permanent member of my family - he's my son. My heart is so full of love for Enoch, he is so special.

Here are some photos of the day - at the courthouse, and at our home. We're a crowd! Thanks so much to my sister-in-law, Liz, for taking these photos and then giving them all to me to edit. What a treasure!

Oh my little man... I loved dreaming and then preparing for his adoption. I made a balloon garland for the porch and a little one for inside. I printed off a collage of photos to display in our dining room and then I printed off some larger ones to put out in the yard. We hired an ice cream cart to scoop cones for all our party guests. I love Enoch so much and generally felt like I couldn't do enough to show him how much! I loved celebrating him.

A fun outdoor dinner all together because we had an intricate board game set up and mid way through on the table!
