I adore sister pictures. Bring on the pajamas, the bed head and a cozy Christmas tree. That's my kind of sweet.

The girls and I made some melted crayon ornaments. I love it when I see a fun craft idea and I already have all the supplies! Happy moment. These were fun to make - not too messy since all the melted wax happens inside the ornament. It was fun to choose crayon colors to mix. You can read the how-to over on the blog Meet the Dubiens. I don't think my blow dryer gets as hot as others (I know it's not as hot as the ones at the gym), and the lack of heat made it a little tricky to get the crayons melty and moving. But, it was fun and my daughters loved it.

These aren't the best photos, but the girls wanted to trim the tree in the light of the tree. We bought one tree for the girls' room and one for our living room, both little ones since the idea of undoing a big tree before we leave for Canada was too daunting. Holly was very involved with trimming the tree, and Greta was more interested in playing with her dollies. So Greta of her. It's always fun to pull out ornaments and remember the years past.

It has been a very busy couple of weeks for me. Conor and I are working hard to make Christmas gifts together. We've had a lot of trial and error as we work together, but last night we wrapped up one of the bigger projects. I think it was the fourth version that was the winner. This weekend, we're headed to Berkley to pick up supplies for our other big project (I'm definitely throwing the term "big" around here). And I'm slowly making progress on the wee wonderful dolls I'm making for my daughters. Those have been so time consuming and tricky because I can only work on them at night. I've made some little gifts for some of the littles we know, but am hesitant to share until after Christmas. Of course the babes don't read my blog, but hopefully their Mommas do. I've also been working hard on a big activity our church puts on for the youth. I've had to gather volunteers and communicate with them all plus the various presidencies. It's been a big undertaking and while it's worth it, I'll be grateful when it's over and I can have my inbox back.

I definitely prefer having my handmade gifts a little more wrapped up by this time of year. I blame the delay on the fabulous quilts I've been slowly working on for my daughters (big, slow projects for Holly and Greta seems to be what I'm currently attracted to).

One thing I have adored this year, is collaborating with Conor. We've worked so well together!

Yesterday, we went on a family walk in Coyote hills. I actually ran a race here almost 2 years ago. The hills are so beautiful and on the other side is the bay. Our girls surprised us by enduring a rather long walk. And we all had a good time! While we were packing up the car, before the walk, Holly told us that she wanted to ride her scooter and Greta said that she wanted to ride the stroller. So my girls!
