Look who's here! Our sweet baby, Treehouse, now named Ira, was born in the morning on Sunday, March 7. We're all thrilled that he's here! It was a challenging delivery and I feel really proud of myself. Ira was a little surprised to be born and his face had some bruising. We had a couple post-delivery hiccups, but everyone was fine in the end. We sure love this little guy! Having four kiddos at home made having a baby and a mom in the hospital a bit of a balancing act. Fortunately, I was able to spend only one night at the hospital and Conor was able to spend that night at home with our older children. Here are some photos of my son, Ira, from our stay at the hospital.

When you're 39 weeks pregnant and the baby you're raising is 9 months old...

I recently had my DSLR camera and the 2 lenses I use cleaned and repaired. I also had my grandfather's film camera cleaned and repaired. I'm so glad I did! My 50mm lens was so full of sand and was not working well at all. Taking photos is so much more enjoyable when the camera and lenses work smoothly! Here are some pics of my guy.

Greta and I are studying geology for science right now and we've done a lot of fun experiments and demos together. One of them was making a volcano! I don't think I've ever done this with any of my kids and it was pretty easy and fun!

One of my "before baby" projects that I wanted to do was to simplify the Boys' room, add a little bit of masculinity and make it feel just a little better to look at. I couldn't convince Conor to paint the room so our girls sleep in a blue room and our boys will sleep in a pink room. Just defying gender norms over here. The geometric print is a Tapas from Fiji. My mom gave it to me at Christmas time. It's from when she lived in Fiji for a year at 11 years old. Kind of fun to have that. At some point we may have 2 cribs in this room. Wonder what that will be like?!
