Greta turned 9 earlier this month! Conor and I both are having a hard time wrapping our minds around that one. Time marches forward! Here are some pictures of my girl in her birthday dress. I finished in the day before her birthday, cutting it close! In the past few years, I've begun to give my girls a handful of fabric choices to choose from and we pick a pattern together. It's working out alright!
We recently went to a petting zoo in CDA with some friends and the girls loved it! But now I'm worried I exposed my girls to the coronavirus?? (Only half joking...) But seriously, they had a good time. There were so many animals, so many children, and so many rules. I didn't get to spend much time in the pen with the animals, because our baby was not into it, but when I came back into the pen, Maeve was essentially the queen of the place. She loved opening and closing the little gates to the rabbit and guinea pig enclosures for anyone who wanted to enter or exit. This was most certainly a good time for my crew! (Except me... I swear, leaving the house is SO HARD! So grateful for good friends who are super supportive and will keep an eye on my kiddos!)
Tummy time. A frequent happening in our house. For some mysterious reason, tummy time gathers my daughters together. Maeve becomes a baby and rolls around on the blanket too. And my big girls cheer and coo to the baby, praising her endlessly. It's moments like these that affirm to me that we're in the right spot on our life journey.
I started some sewing projects at the end of Christmas break when I had a little extra time and then slowly finished one of the projects earlier this week. A quilt for my sweet baby. I wanted something bright, colorful and simple. I'm really happy with how it turned out! I backed it with minky fabric so it's extra soft and cuddly. I love giving her this piece of me.
